An MVP in front of investors in seven weeks
Two non-technical founders needed a working product to close their seed round with no in-house engineers. Baraklabs built and shipped the MVP in seven weeks, in time for their fundraising deadline.
Eight Weeks to Prove It
Fernwell's two founders had validated the idea with 40+ customer interviews but had no engineering team and a hard deadline to show a working product before their seed round closed in eight weeks. Investors had already said they wanted to see something live, not a deck.
Week 1-2: Scoping
Baraklabs spent the first two weeks turning the founders' interview notes into a concrete spec — a single core booking flow, patient and provider accounts, and a lightweight admin panel, deliberately cutting everything that wasn't needed to demonstrate the core loop.
Week 3-7: Building
From there it was a single embedded team working directly with the founders on a weekly demo cadence, catching scope creep early and keeping the architecture simple enough that Fernwell's future hires could actually maintain it.
The Outcome
The MVP shipped in 7 weeks, a week ahead of the fundraising deadline. Fernwell closed their seed round and now maintains the product with a two-person engineering team Baraklabs helped them hire.
